Our Team
Jason Cavell (CEO and Founder)
Cavell enters his 4th season at La Academia Partnership Charter School in Lancaster, PA which has quickly become a powerhouse 1A program in the state of Pennsylvania lead by former European basketball standout, Jerry Johnson, who Cavell credits for his love of coaching. Cavell has a unique background that includes playing and coaching high school basketball under Derek Wright, brother of former Villanova Head Men's Basketball Coach, Jay Wright. Cavell is part of the winningest class in school history with 3 back to back district championships along with an Elite 8 state tournament run. After High School, Cavell went on to play at Gwynedd Mercy University and was a member of the 2016 CSAC Championship team that earned an NCAA tournament appearance, knocking off the #6 ranked team in the country while he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing. In 2016-2017, Cavell was named Team Captain at the start of his senior season and was honored as a member of the All-Sportsmanship Team in 3 consecutive seasons, he was also a member of the NABC Honors Court in 2014-15. Upon graduating, Cavell worked in player development for Dime Athletics, owned by current NBA Assistant Coach Bryan Bailey (Atlanta Hawks) and Maurice Bailey. While with Dime, Cavell worked with players of all levels which included numerous professional players. During the pandemic, Cavell wanted to find a way to give graduating high school players and college transfers a platform to showcase their abilities to a broader audience and help propel them forward with his connections at the college level which sparked an idea to create a twitter (X) profile and begin talking to prospective student athletes. In addition to Platform, Cavell works as a Technology Specialist at La Academia Partnership Charter School in Lancaster, PA.
